Holy cow it has been a long time since I blogged! Things slowed down a bit for me this month, as everyone in my family has been sick at least twice… therefore my duties as a photographer had to take a backseat to my duties as a mom. Being a mom is my first and...
A Little About Me
I am a very lucky woman to be married to my best friend, Justin and honored to be the mother of the most amazing children. Della is 3 1/2 years old and we welcomed our son, Oliver, into our family this spring!
I have loved photography since I was young, and started thinking seriously about it as a career in high school. After working as a photojournalist for a daily newspaper in my hometown of La Grande, OR, I decided to take my photography to the next level. I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and enrolled in the photography program. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Commercial Photography from NAU in 2000. While attending school at NAU, I was chosen "Most Oustanding Graduate in Photography" for my graduating class! What an honor!
After moving to ND, I worked for five years in Special Education while earning my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Ed. I truly enjoy that field, but photography just kept calling me back!
I officially started Soulshine Photography in July of 2007 and have been nothing short of amazed at how quickly my business has grown. I owe much of that success to my awesome clients who have spread the word about Soulshine Photography! Thank you!
