*1940’s Themed Aviation Session with the Lents Family* Grand Forks, ND Family Photographer

When Amy and Mike mentioned to me they were thinking about doing a vintage 1940’s themed session complete with a gorgeous airplane on a grass landing strip, I was so excited! If you know this family, you know this is SO them. I had a pretty good idea how I wanted to shoot this session before we started, but I never know if the weather will cooperate with my “vision” or not. Mother Nature was kind to us and cooperated beautifully. I wanted low, warm evening light and that is exactly what we got!

The airstrip in Manvel, ND was the perfect location, and the styling Amy and Mike brought with their choice in clothing, props and Amy’s awesome victory roll hairstyle was the icing on the cake!

I am so happy with how this turned out – what an incredibly fun session!

For any aviators out there (or those otherwise curious), this is a 1947 Luscombe 8E Silvaire. I don’t know a lot about airplanes (even though my husband is also a pilot) but do know this was a beautiful plane!

Thank you for such a fun, amazing session Mike, Amy, Theo and Henry!
