I photograph real moments that feel honest and timeless. With roots in photojournalism, I know how to quietly step in, anticipate connection, and look for the in-between moments that unfold naturally.
You don’t need to know what to do. Just be present. I’ll guide gently and take care of the rest.
I’m a wife, a mom of two, and someone who knows how fast these seasons pass. My goal is simple: to preserve the moments you’ll want to remember not just how they looked, but how they felt.

about Erin
When I was building my business in 2007, I was trying to pick the perfect name. When "Soulshine" came to mind I knew I had landed on it. I want to photograph people doing things they love. Surrounded by people they love. Things that make their soul shine.
Here's where it gets really interesting. My husband was in flight training at the time. When he came home from his flight I told him I had come up with a name for my business. When I told him, he said, "No kidding? I have 'Soulshine' written at the top of my kneeboard to remind me of why I am doing this."
And that was it. I've been "Soulshine Photography" for nearly 20 years.

Erin and her creative talents are such a gift to our family. She has been our family photographer twice a year for the last 8 years. We’ve done 15+ sessions with 3-9 people varying in age from newborn to 80 and she is always very engaging and kind to each one of us.
Each time we meet, the possibility for something both classic and original exists. We’ve cuddled our babies, eaten ice cream, baked cookies, and danced at dusk, all caught through her lens. She sees each of us so clearly and captures our personalities so well I leave every session entirely comfortable, knowing she got the photos I’ve been dreaming of.
