My blog has been a little quieter than normal for the past few weeks. I have a good reason, I promise! A couple of months ago I was contacted by Porpoura Coffee House in downtown Grand Forks, asking if I was interested in being the featured artist in their business for the month of August. I took a really long deep breath… and agreed!
I have never shown "the other side" of my photography before. Sure, I have shown a lot of my portrait work on my website and blog. Heck, back in my photojournalism days my pictures showed up on people's front steps every morning on the front page of their newspaper. But this feels different, somehow. This is the first time I have ever publicly shown the things I photograph just for myself. I am both excited and nervous.
I'll be showing a very wide variety of images; basically a smattering of my personal photography ranging from clear back in my college days when I used a large-format 4×5 field camera and slide film (gasp!) to some pretty recent work.
So anyway, be sure to swing by Porpoura during August and check it out!
