I knew this was going to be an awesome session when Kirstin emailed and asked if I wanted to do the session at the North Dakota Museum of Art.  Luckily for us, we had an inside connection (thanks, Kecia!) and got approval to do our session there. It was excellent – wide open spaces, simple, clean lines and tons of natural light!

The last time I photographed this family, Jorie was just turning one year old and boy could she dance - and she still can!  This girl cracks me up.  I could watch her dance and sing all day!  In addition to Jorie's 2-year portraits, I also got to photograph Jorie's new little brother Luke!  Luke is just 6 weeks old, and was wide awake for his moment in the spotlight.  He was the most easy-going baby I have ever seen.  Come to think of it, I hardly remember him crying during our entire session, and he was nearly naked the whole time!

I'd like to acknowledge the artists' work in the background. Juan Manuel Echavarrîa created the colorful square paintings, and Johanna Calle is the artist that created the black and white images.

I have lots of pictures to share, because there was no way I could narrow it down any more than this.  Enjoy!
